Health Related Technology

My name is Amy Bothun, I am the Health Related Technologies teacher at the High School.  I grew up in Greenville, PA and graduated from Greenville Area High School.  I attended Lock Haven University and graduated in 1994 as a Registered Nurse.  My husband and I moved to Emporium, Pa in 1995 and then to Saint Marys in 2004.  We have 2 daughters.  Cheyenne is 26 years old and teachers STEM for the Johnsonburg School District. Micayla is 23 years old and teaches 5th grade reading for the Bradford Area School District. 

 

I have worked as a Registered Nurse for 29 years. I worked at Elk Haven Nursing Home for 21 years prior to coming to the high school.  I worked for many years as a Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator then I became an Infection Control Nurse and Nurse Educator teaching the CNA classes in the long term care setting.

 

My most recent accomplishment is acquiring my PHRN (Pre Hospital RN) certificate through the EMS system!
